Mahitahi Hauora PHE is a newly formed primary health entity established to transform how primary healthcare is delivered in Northland.  Our organisation operates as a Trust, is Not for Profit and works to support a primary health care system that sustains equitable self-determined wellbeing and ensures every person in Northland can live a long and healthy life. 

The Position
We are looking for a CIO who is experienced in:

  • Influencing the direction of business transformation,
  • Driving an Information Systems and Technology Strategy, and
  • Enabling an IS team to provide effective IT solutions to its stakeholders

As a successful CIO, you will be responsible for planning and developing the business information systems and technology strategy, identifying and implementing IT related projects, managing the network and systems to ensure optimal performance across all platforms, and ensuring data integrity and security.  This is a solution focussed role required to provide support and leadership in flexibility and functionality of systems and information.

You will be supported with a small IT team and Data Analytics team.

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years in a senior CIO or Senior IT Management role
  • A relevant tertiary information communications technology qualification
  • Experience in development and management of ICT security frameworks and tools
  • An awareness of a range of IT related technologies and their practical application to support business applications
  • Experience in analysing business requirements, developing options and implementing solutions
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, administration tools and MS Office applications
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills in developing constructive stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership
