MAHITAHI HAUORA - Project Manager – Health and Science Academy

We have an exciting new 2-year fixed-term role (with a possible renewal) for an innovative Project Manager with experience in youth development, co-design, health or education, to work within our Whānau and Consumer Experience Team. This role will be responsible for leading and project managing the co-design and implementation of a Health and Science Academy to increase the future health workforce in Te Taitokerau.

 Key functions of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing a Health and Science Academy to increase taitamariki Māori participation and achievement in education as a pathway into the health workforce
  • Leading a co-design process with whānau and taitamariki to ensure the Academy is fit-for-purpose
  • Working with the Workforce Development Team to ensure alignment with other workforce pipeline initiatives
  • Ensuring effective engagement of key stakeholders across health, social, industry and education sectors

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • A tertiary qualification in health, education, youth development or project management
  • Be able to demonstrate project management, co-design and leadership experience
  • Have advanced computer literacy, and an unencumbered driver’s licence
  • Demonstrable commitment to equitable outcomes for Māori and Te Tiriti O Waitangi
