Mahitahi Hauora supports Primary Healthcare providers including General Practices and Māori Health Providers to deliver care and to look after the wellbeing of their communities and whānau. About our Role

We are looking for an experienced Musculoskeletal Clinician to further develop a sustainable musculoskeletal management programme that will assist providers with responding to primary care needs.  Working with multi-disciplinary teams and individual clients, this role will ensure high quality best practice service delivery across our Te Tai Tokerau population.  This is a full time fixed term role for 1 year. 

Ideally you will have either worked in primary healthcare or have an understanding of primary healthcare and community needs with the key functions of this role including:

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the musculoskeletal programme to assist in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Leading a co-design process with Multi-Disciplinary Teams to ensure the programme meets the needs of the Te Tai Tokerau population and is a whanau centred programme.
  • Supporting, strengthening and analysing the capability of providers and ensuring a high standard of intervention, and responsiveness to need is achieved through evidence based and best practice process.

To be considered for this position you must:

  • Have a current registration and tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or relevant profession with knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Be able to demonstrate project management, co-design and leadership experience
  • Have experience in musculoskeletal condition management
  • Have advanced computer literacy, and an unencumbered NZ driver’s licence
  • Demonstratable commitment to equitable outcomes for Māori and Te Tiriti O Waitangi
