Mahitahi Hauora PHE - Podiatrist (three month contract)

Podiatrist required for three-month contract working across Whangārei and Hokianga

Mahitahi Hauora supports primary healthcare providers, including general practices and Māori health providers, to deliver care and to look after the wellbeing of their communities and whānau. We also deliver care and wellbeing support directly to the community and whānau. About this Contract

We have a short term requirement for a Podiatrist to support our Whangārei and Hokianga communities for a period of three months. As this contract would involve some travel to the Hokianga, a vehicle could be available to use on required days to support this contract. 

Broad service specifications include:

  • Providing best practice, quality podiatry services based on established professional standards and codes of practice to patients referred for assessment and treatment
  • Provide treatment for patients in a timely manner as per the NZSSD Diabetes Foot Screening and Risk Stratification Tool and Mahitahi Hauora’s podiatry treatment guidelines and the community based Diabetes Podiatry Service Flow chart
  • Provide outcomes and care plan to the General Practice multidisciplinary team via the Podiatry referral management system
  • Data completion for referred patients must meet service requirements (treatment and assessment records)

We are looking for a podiatrist currently registered in NZ, who has managed patients in primary care environments and who has an unencumbered NZ driver’s licence.
