Primary & Community Care Workforce Lead

We are looking for an experienced professional to join us during what is an exciting and interesting time in primary healthcare. This is a very busy leadership role that provides an opportunity to lead the implementation of our workforce strategy, and plan and grow the capability and sustainability of our primary healthcare workforce across Northland.

About Mahitahi Hauora

Mahitahi Hauora is a newly formed primary health entity established to transform how primary healthcare is delivered in Northland.  Our organisation operates as a Trust, is not for profit and works to support a primary health care system that sustains equitable self-determined wellbeing and ensures every person in Northland can live a long and healthy life.  

The Position

We are looking for a Primary & Community Care Workforce Leader who is experienced in Primary healthcare and who will:

  • successfully develop and deliver a workforce strategy that will enable growth in capacity and capability of our clinical and non-clinical workforce across Northland
  • work with key partners in a shared goal and collaborative approach to achieving the quadruple aim.
  • provide strategic direction and guidance enhancing the innovations and operations of the Workforce Experience Team.
  • lead quality change methodology and compliance.
  • provide programme planning and innovation

This is a diverse leadership role that will see you reporting to the Chief Executive and leading a team of clinical and non-clinical professionals to achieve and align team and organisational goals.

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • a postgraduate tertiary qualification in Health, Education or Strategic Management
  • a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role
  • demonstrable experience in developing and delivery of a strategic plan
  • proven experience working in and understanding the complexities of the primary healthcare environment
  • proven interpersonal skills in developing constructive stakeholder relationships
  • experience in planning and execution of new programme models and RFP/tender processes

You must have a current NZ work visa and the legal right to work in NZ.
