Registered Nurse Coordinator

Permanent Position

0.6-1.0 FTE - negotiable

This is a varied and challenging role which will require you to work closely with providers, stakeholders, and colleagues to support the development and implementation of projects and programmes in a primary healthcare environment.  Initially this role will support implementation of the HPV swabbing project.

This is a Monday to Friday role, where you will utilise your skills, knowledge and experience to enable equitable and whānau focussed interventions, and continuously work to pursue clinical excellence and improved health outcomes across primary healthcare.

Mahitahi Hauora is a primary health entity.  Underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi, our Kaupapa includes ensuring whānau and communities have access to the services they determine they need, are able to achieve self-determined wellbeing,  and to live a long and healthy life.  We work collaboratively with community, primary healthcare providers and key partners to support general practices, Māori health providers and social sector agencies, in achieving better health outcomes for our Tai Tokerau population.

The Position

This Registered Nurse Coordinator role sits within the Clinical Hub and works closely with other Hub Clinicians in developing and implementing key programmes, projects and services that achieve whanau focussed outcomes and support a sustainable model of primary healthcare.  The role acts as an educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and coordinator in supporting primary health care initiatives.

To be considered for this position you should:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3-5 years post graduate experience
  • Have an understanding and preferrable experience in primary/community healthcare
  • Have experience and/or knowledge of the National Screening Unit programmes
  • Be experienced in developing and implementing services and/or programmes
  • Have advanced computer literacy across MS Office 365, Sharepoint, Teams
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and managing relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Be a confident communicator both spoken and written
  • Hold a current NZ work visa and the legal right to work in NZ.
  • Be fully vaccinated for COVID, a requirement of employment with our organisation.
