Strategic Programme Manager

We are looking for an experienced professional to join us during what is an exciting and interesting time in primary healthcare. This is a very busy role that will showcase your project/programme and risk management skills and enable our teams to successfully deliver on their required project/programme outcomes. 

About Mahitahi Hauora

Mahitahi Hauora is a newly formed primary health entity established to transform how primary healthcare is delivered in Northland.  Our organisation operates as a Trust, is not for profit and works to support a primary health care system that sustains equitable self-determined wellbeing and ensures every person in Northland can live a long and healthy life.  

The Position

We are looking for a Strategic Programme Manager who is experienced in project and risk management and successful contract outcomes, who will:

  • enable, support and develop the capability of our project leads in understanding project management delivery and outcomes.
  • manage, mitigation and reporting of project risk
  • utilise disciplined project methodology to ensure project meet milestones and key indicators
  • provide graphic reporting on project progress and outcomes

This is role that will see you reporting to the Whanau & Consumer Engagement Team Leader and working within the wider Change and Improvement Team. 

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • a postgraduate tertiary qualification in management or health
  • a project/programme management qualification
  • minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior strategic project/programme management role
  • demonstrable experience in managing and delivery of project milestones
  • proven interpersonal skills in developing constructive stakeholder relationships
  • proven experience in interpreting strategic directions into operational outcomes
  • experience in contract management and performance

An understanding or experience working in the complexities of the primary healthcare environment would be an advantage. 

You must have a current NZ work visa and the legal right to work in NZ.
